Large velvet with loops
Corporate trousers, half-balloon shape, wide at the thighs and narrowed at the ankles, come from a need for ease and functionality. This "low-waisted" version, called belt loops, is worn with a belt or clip-on suspenders. The cord velvet (300 stripes/m) ensures warmth and robustness. It is in this fabric with large ribs, originating from England, that the first largeot was designed by Adolphe Lafont in 1896. French manufacture (Digoin, Burgundy).
Available in 4 colours corresponding to the guilds of Companions: Black for carpenters and roofers, Brown for cabinetmakers, Hazelnut for joiners and Ecru for stonemasons. A little stiff when new, it will quickly soften to become fluid, like a real second skin.
