Traditional jacou hat
The Jacou, the "sapé" (hat in Savoyard), is at the heart of the identity of the Savoie region. This wide-brimmed, high-crowned hat is handcrafted by the Manufacture Montcapel: the last French hat factory still producing hats from the raw material, wool, to the finished product, including the cloches. 30 to 35 steps are required to create this wool felt hat, subtly stiffened but not too much to give it a beautiful fit. It adorns both women's and men's heads.
Runs large, choose one size smaller than your head size.
