Corporate trousers, half-balloon shape, wide at the thighs and narrowed at the ankles for ease and functionality. This "low-rise" version, known as belt loops, can be worn with a belt or clip-on suspenders. The linen/cotton blend, perfect for summer and transitional seasons, gives it a light and fresh feel while remaining very durable.

Product History

History of the “largeot” pants:
An iconic pair of trousers created in 1896 by the Lyon tailor Adolphe Lafont, who made them for his carpenter father-in-law.
The balloon or half-balloon shape, narrowed at the ankles, was intended to be loose and comfortable to facilitate movement on roofs, or for carpentry work. It was worn high, a tightening tab allowed for hanging a hammer, a piped pocket on the right leg held a folding rule, gauge and pencil. Finally, a gusset pocket held a watch, chalk or possibly a clove of garlic for insect bites. Initially designed in a heavy corduroy with large ribs, or in a shaved velvet called "mole skin", ancestor of the current moleskin. Never washed but only beaten and brushed, it was often said that "the wider the breeches, the stronger the man".
Two cuts: With straps (high waist), and with belt loops (low waist).
Three fabric qualities: Velvet, moleskin and linen/cotton blend.
While these trousers are still worn by generations of professionals for their robustness and comfort, today they appeal to a private clientele for their authenticity and timelessness.
