Villette horse dealer's blouse
Present at all the agricultural fairs of yesteryear, the horse dealer was the one who bought horses and cattle from the peasants. He wore a large black smock, distinct from the peasant's blue smock. A felt hat and a large stick with a leather strap completed his attire. The Villette smock refers to the large livestock market at the Abattoirs généraux de la Villette.
Imagine wearing it as a blouse or trench coat for a more rural look.
