Chantepleure, medieval watering can
Chantepleure, medieval watering can
Entirely made by hand in terracotta at the Tuilerie Royer (Aube), this medieval ancestor of the watering can delivers delicate watering for seedlings and fragile plants. Sings when immersed in water (with the sound of air bubbles rising to the surface), cries when it empties.
Instructions for use: Immerse the weeping plant in a bucket or a reservoir of water to fill it. Plug the opening with your thumb to retain the water. Release your finger, the water will flow through the pierced bottom. ATTENTION the weepwort is sensitive to frost. Store it dry for the winter!
