History of the work "blue", called "coltin":
Workwear is still widely associated today with "blue workwear" which originated in its famous Prussian blue (or Berlin blue) color discovered at the beginning of the 18th century. Very inexpensive to produce and easy to clean, it became established in maritime and military professions, then in industry to very quickly become that of workers, to the point of becoming a social label, even a symbol of protest during the great strikes of May 68 where we saw "blues" burn. It was then that it changed shoulders to dress students and began to inspire great couturiers. It became an essential basic in our wardrobes for its sobriety and timelessness.
